The Ice House Grille was inspired and designed around the 107 year old Brunswick bar you see before you. I had a vision long ago of building a restaurant that brought back what a bar/restaurant should be like: a timeless, comfortable place that feels like home.
Brunswick began manufacturing billiard tables in the 1840’s and in 1878, they decided to expand their product line to build front and back bars. We found our Brunswick in a coal mining town north of Philadelphia. It was purchased and installed by the long since closed Columbia Brewing Company on November 25, 1904. This beautiful piece of workmanship sat in the same place from 1904 until we removed it and relocated it back to Rhode Island. You can see the deed framed on the side of the bar.
One night I had a dream, I heard a voice saying “If you build it, they will come”... and here you are!
